Hello

My name is Maria Belen Game, MD, and I am honored to serve as the Vice Chair of the Wings to Freedom Foundation. It is a privilege to stand alongside this organization and support its mission to protect, restore, and empower survivors of domestic violence.

I am the founder and medical director of Pronto Urgent Care, where I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate, accessible, and high-quality medical care to the Fort Lauderdale community. Every day, I see how deeply physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing are connected, and how critical it is that people are treated with dignity, respect, and humanity.

My Story

Medicine has always been more than a profession to me. It is a calling rooted in service, advocacy, and the responsibility to care for people not just in moments of health, but especially in moments of vulnerability.

Throughout my career, I have cared for countless patients who arrived not only with visible injuries, but with invisible ones. I have seen firsthand how trauma, fear, and unsafe environments impact long-term health and quality of life. These experiences have shaped my commitment to be more than a physician in the exam room and to be an advocate in the community.

My involvement with Wings to Freedom Foundation comes from a deep belief that survivors deserve more than immediate safety. They deserve long-term support, resources, and a path toward stability, dignity, and independence. Healthcare is often one of the first places survivors intersect with the system, and I believe it should be a bridge to protection, hope, and restoration, not just treatment.

Beyond My Role

As Vice Chair, my goal is to help strengthen the foundation’s impact, expand access to care and resources, and ensure survivors receive holistic support that addresses both their immediate and long-term needs.

Through my work at Pronto Urgent Care and my service on this board, I am committed to advocating for compassionate systems of care, community awareness, and collaborative solutions that truly change lives.

I am proud to serve alongside the Wings to Freedom Foundation and contribute to building a future where survivors are not only safe, but supported, empowered, and free.

 Maria
